Outsourcing Performance® takes place within the closed section of the Giarte community: DigitalBoardroom. This ensures that feedback comes from a reliable source. And it helps establish a firm foundation for the study results. A number of other aspects are equally essential for the relevance of this study:
Independence and a sound network
Over the years, Giarte has built a strong network of top managers. We are not affiliated with any provider, nor do we provide professional consultancy services. As an independent party, we enjoy the confidence of the sector and are able to collect insights that remain inaccessible to others. We offer presentations and workshops on the client side, but cannot be hired for consultancy programmes. Nor do we assist in the selection of a specific supplier or express any preference. Giarte is not affiliated with any third parties.
Generous feedback; prudent approach
We are fully aware of the fact that the results of a benchmark have an effect on people’s decisions. Outsourcing is a complex task that anticipates the needs of a client.
For that reason, we practise restraint in our provision of feedback: to prevent incorrect interpretations, most of the data is kept private.
Our aim is to keep track of developments on both the demand and supply side, which is why Giarte produces an annual publication containing information on the market. We take great care in deciding which information to include in the publication and how to present data. Our goal is to support the entire market in becoming more professional and to share best practices.
Transparent and thorough
Giarte is open about its research methodology and about respondent numbers, the composition of the research population (while still preserving the participants’ anonymity) and the procedure used. We conduct a minimum of seven evaluations before we rate a party on the topic of satisfaction. Each party requires 10 or more evaluations when occupying first or second position in a specific domain; service providers require at least 15 evaluations before we include them in our public Outsourcing Recommendation Index.
Giarte uses its own contract database, and verifies whether received evaluations come from organisations that are a current client of a service provider. This approach prevents a situation where service providers submit filtered client lists from which the names of ‘difficult’ clients have been removed. We apply the principle of a level playing field for every party studied.
